William Hufschmidt offers private, one-on-one Thai Yoga Therapy sessions.

A session can be tailored to address specific physical or energetic issues, or consist of a general all-body therapy session.

This work can be adapted to all body-types and states of healing.  I have worked with my clients before and after spinal fushions, hip replacements, and other surgeries.

Generally - my clients lay on the floor on a really firm, cushiony thai mat.  I also have a massage chair and a bench for alternate positions, and plenty of props to support your body.

And in the cold weather, you'll be lying on a heating pad, unless you request otherwise.

You & I will need to talk on the phone before our first session,
so please be sure to include your phone number with any EMailed correspondence

Comments after taking this class at the Atlanta Yoga Conference 2008:

    William,

I just wanted to take the time to thank you again for the Thai therapy workshop yesterday and to share my testimonial with you! I have been a yoga practitioner for years, and have recently been under a lot of stress. I always hold my stress in my upper back, rhomboids specifically. Regular yoga helps of course, and I have gotten two deep-tissue massages in the last two weeks, but I can honestly say that yesterday and today were the first days in two weeks that I have had absolutely no pain! I felt inspired last night after the workshop, had a good night sleep and feel great again today! I am grateful to you for sharing your knowledge of such an amazing practice. I really learned a lot! Hope to see you again at Jai Shanti.

    Namaste,

    Melanie Kaufman, Sep 28, 2008

A one-on-one session, by appointment only. This is a fully-clothed, non-oil bodywork experience that weaves yoga postures with Thai bodywork techniques. Your body will be moved and sculpted into different positions to open and enliven your muscles and bones, while revitalizing your energy.

In its native Thailand, this form of body work is utilized as medicine to maintain our bodies and keep them functioning.  In traditional Thai society, family members would share this method of touch and healing between generations, including children working on their parents, who would have worked in the fields all day long.

This simple practice of stretch, and energetics will change how you feel in your body.
